Mission Statement of the Church of Christ
Spread the word of God
Our mission is to glorify God by faithfully following His Word, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and nurturing believers in love and truth. We strive to restore New Testament Christianity, worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and lead all people to salvation through obedience to the gospel of Christ.
We believe in the simple, biblical Plan of Salvation, as revealed in God’s Word:
Hear the Gospel – “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17
Salvation begins when one hears and understands the good news of Jesus Christ.
Believe in Christ – “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” — Mark 16:16

CCF-Campus Christian Fellowship
CCF is a non-denominational ministry on the campuses of UNC, ECU, NCSU, and UNCW. Our students are active in the university community, sincere about their spiritual journey, and warmly welcome newcomers. We are a campus ministry that seeks to “Make disciples on campus who impact the World.”

DART Team
DART stands for Disaster Assistance Response Team. This is a team of volunteers who help communities after natural or man-made disasters. Locally, this team was formed when hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana and surrounding areas on the Gulf Coast in 2005. A group of men from local churches decided to help out in this hard hit area through IDES, International Disaster Emergency Services.

Mashoko/Hippo Valley Mission
The mission began with the simple philosophy of reaching the whole person for Christ; the body, mind and soul. The body through healthcare, the mind through education and the soul through the gospel message of Jesus and His church. Nearly 70 years later, those simple promises made, and kept, have resulted in thousands of lives changed for eternity. The purpose of HVCM is to evangelize Zimbabwe reaching the whole person for Christ; the body, mind and soul through healthcare, schools, and the Church.

Mountain Mission School
Located in Grundy Virginia, offering hope since 1921, Mountain Mission School has served as a safe haven for children in need from all over the world. Mountain Mission School rescues children of all ages from challenging home situations and shelters them for weeks, months, or years, depending on the need. We provide food, clothing and access to medical care. Once they are in our care, we give them a secure home in a residential environment, shepherded by loving house parents.

Chiredzi Children’s Home
The Chiredzi Christian Children’s Home/Village is a part of the Hippo Valley Christian Mission. CCCV was established in 2000 in response to the fallout of the HIV epidemic which ravaged Sub-Saharan Africa and left so many families and children at risk. Over the past 21 years, CCCV has lovingly raised more than 100 children into productive adulthood with more than 50 children currently in our care.

MACU-Mid Atlantic
Christian University
Mid-Atlantic Christian University is an institution of Christian higher education whose mission is to equip people to be extraordinary Christian leaders. The educational philosophy of MACU rests upon the conviction that all truth comes from God. Only the Bible, God’s word, enables us to integrate all fields of knowledge into a meaningful unity; it alone answers the deep questions of the human mind and spirit. All courses at MACU are taught from the perspective of the Christian worldview.

Pemberton Station
Pemberton Station is the newest mission station of Hippo Valley Christian Mission. Also known as Living Proof High School, this top-notch high school/boarding school, is located in a region called Gutu, which is right on the main highway between Chiredzi and the capital city of Harare. Roughly half of the boarder students are Living Proof children. The Living Proof kids are selected based upon academic and character qualifications and will be awarded a full scholarship which includes room and board.

Roanoke Christian Service Camp
Since 1945, young people have experienced the joys of Christian camping while forming friendships that last a lifetime through daily classes, chapel time, vespers, campfires, mission speakers and recreational activities. Roanoke Christian Camp began as an effort by Christian Churches and Churches of Christ to provide a summer camp ministry to children and now reaches and ministers to all children regardless of race, religion and ethnic background.

Pioneer Bible Translators
The word “Pioneer” reflects our commitment to translating the Bible and planting churches among the world’s least-reached people groups – those who are marginalized, those who live in hard-to-access places, and those who are Deaf. The goal of Pioneer Bible Translators isn’t just translation, but transformation. Since 1976, we bring people to Jesus through Bible translation and church planting, combined with discipleship, incarnational ministry, and the use of translated Scripture.
INTERNATIONAL MISSION
Central India Christian Mission
Strategically prepares men and women to serve as church leaders, care for at-risk children and youth, and bring positive transformation to communities throughout Southern Asia. Despite the growing risk of persecution, thousands of believers courageously work every day to reach the unreached, love the unloved and bring freedom to those held in captivity.
Compassion International
In 1952, Rev. Everett Swanson flew to South Korea to minister to American troops fighting in the Korean War. During his time there, he grew increasingly troubled by the sight of hundreds of war orphans living on the streets, abandoned by society. Compassion means seeing the suffering of others, deeply caring and taking action to stop it. Compassion International works to end child poverty by connecting vulnerable children with churches in their communities who know, love and protect them.
Hasten International
Hasten International supports physicians, nurses, clinic workers, pastors, educators, and churches in Africa, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Colombia, and Mexico. Working with few resources, helping communities with very basic needs, to heal the sick, bring hope, and promote quality of life. Hasten International is seeking to help people in impoverished and underserved areas here in the US as well through the mobile unit based in NC.

The mission of the Church of Christ is to glorify God by following the teachings of His Word, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and helping all people grow in faith and love.
We seek to restore New Testament Christianity, to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and to live as the body of Christ in our community and the world.
Our Beliefs
"We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God." (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16–17) and is our only guide for faith and practice.
We follow the pattern of the New Testament church, teaching the same gospel message the apostles preached in the first century.
Our Purpose

We exist to preach Christ, serve our community, and remain steadfast in the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42).
The Plan of Salvation
The Bible clearly teaches how we come into a saving relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We invite everyone to follow this simple, powerful plan found in Scripture:
- Hear the Gospel: Faith begins when we listen to and understand God’s message of salvation.
- Confess Your Faith: We openly confess our faith in Jesus before others.
- Believe in Jesus Christ: We must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died and rose again for our sins.
- Be Baptized into Christ: Baptism is where our sins are washed away and we are added to the body of Christ (Galatians 3:27).
- Repent of Sin: Repentance means turning away from sin and committing our lives to follow Christ.
- Live Faithfully: The Christian life is a daily walk of faith, service, and obedience to God’s will.
